Ahmed ElahiLawyer

Ahmed joins Lister Beaupré Lawyers after completing his articles at a prominent litigation boutique in Toronto. He is developing a general civil litigation practice, with a particular focus on labour and employment law.

Ahmed was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He immigrated to Brampton, Ontario at the age of 17 with his family. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree (with high distinction) in political science and philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2018.

Ahmed obtained his J.D. degree also from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law in 2021. During law school, Ahmed served as research assistant to Dean Jutta Brunée, exploring various issues in international legal theory. Furthermore, in his role as a student advisor for the Dean’s Academic Success Program, Ahmed helped students at the law school succeed in their courses during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Ahmed was avidly involved in mooting during law school. His team won the prize for best oral advocacy and best written argument at the 2020 Wilson Moot. The subsequent year, he served as a coach for the successful 2021 University of Toronto Wilson Moot team.

In his free time, Ahmed enjoys watching soccer and basketball. He is also a literature enthusiast and spends many hours reading.
