Dariya Mariya Petryshyn is a junior associate at Lister Beaupré, practising in the areas of Employment Law and Family Law.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dariya moved to Ottawa to pursue an Honours Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University. Following her graduation in May 2020, she completed the Law Clerk Intensive Program at Algonquin College before relocating to Belfast, Northern Ireland, to obtain her LL.B. from Queen’s University Belfast. She later returned to Canada, earned her LL.M. from the University of Toronto, and was called to the Ontario Bar in October 2025.
During law school, Dariya served as Vice President of the Queen’s University Belfast Law Society and as a peer tutor, student representative, and reader for the Student Law Journal. She achieved advocacy success with first-place finishes in two consecutive Queen’s University Belfast Intervarsity Plea in Mitigation competitions and a win at the Northern Irish Client Consultation Competition, later representing Northern Ireland at the Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition in Maastricht. Prior to joining Lister Beaupré, Dariya worked as a paralegal at a prominent labour and personal injury firm in Northern Ireland and later articled across several practice areas in Central West Ontario, including with the Ontario Family Responsibility Office, where she managed more than 100 enforcement files and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. Dariya continues to serve as FRO Panel Counsel, appearing across Ontario to enforce support orders.
Fluent in English and Ukrainian, Dariya also has working knowledge of French, Polish, and Russian.
Outside of practice, Dariya enjoys travelling, studying languages, playing chess, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
