Jamie Marie joined Lister Beaupré in April 2018 and practices exclusively in Family Law. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa. Prior to joining Lister Beaupré, Jamie Marie articled and worked for a boutique firm specializing in Family Law. Jamie Marie is at home with all areas of family law such as: domestic agreements, child custody, child and spousal support, separation agreements, and divorce proceedings. She truly understands that the breakdown of a family is a stressful time for her clients and looks for practical ways of solving issues.
Jamie Marie was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. Jamie Marie is a qualified high school English teacher and taught English Literature at her alma mater. Her motto is: “If I could make Shakespeare interesting to teenagers, then everything else is easy!” Currently, she keeps herself in the area of teaching by presenting the family law information sessions at the Ottawa Court House. Jamie Marie also holds a Master’s of Library Science from the University of Toronto.
